question regarding prolotherapy treatment for lower back pain?

Is it possible to worsen a chronic pain condition with prolotherapy if you are not injected in exactly the right place. (for example an inexperienced or unskilled doctor who is injecting you in the wrong area.)

There is conflicting evidence about its effectiveness and it is an experimental treatment.

In my non-medical opinion, I do believe this is not a safe procedure to try until the medical benefits are established.

Prolotherapy involves the injection of an irritant solution into the area where connective tissue has been weakened or damaged through injury or strain.

It works by irritating the surrounding tissue, causing it to become inflamed, which indicates there is damage/injury. Then it heals itself.

Hi a_bowden7,

I am not familiar with prolotherapy, sounds scary and risky. What worked for me an my back pain was a chiropractor and exercises.
